Large Shadow Flats

In this production of Medea I was tasked with building Large flats to fill the stage which could also work as a surface to cast shadows. This was the perfect opportunity to build some large Broadway style flats creating them light and fabric covered.

There was also the need for a second story platform with a 10′ span. This was achieved with 2×10 members and double studded legs with sheer wall supports. This span allowed for an area under the platform to remain open to be used as a large shadow screen.
